Get In On the Action!

Hey Bay Lifers,

I hope that you're well and having an exceptional day. I'm sitting at my desk looking forward to another great weekend at our church. We're very excited to be able to welcome the Steppin' Stone Farm girls to our stage for a special worship service this weekend. Steppin' Stone Farm is a Christian residential home for at-risk teen girls and a Community Partner of Bay Life Church. The girls will sing for us and will also join me and our team to sing during our Sunday morning worship services. We'll also hear one of the girls give her testimony. It's a real privilege to have them with us, so don't miss it!

We started our men's bible study breakfast this past Wednesday morning and had a great time together around some good food and God's word. Men, join us at 6:30 am at Cracker Barrel each Wednesday morning. Here's the Men of Integrity study link:

It's an exciting time to serve God at Bay Life Church. Our services are full of friendly energy, our Life Groups semester is in full swing, worship arts is pushing toward Easter and the Spring Musical, and much, much more. If you're still standing on the sidelines or know someone who is, I encourage you make the move to get in on the action - you'll love it!

Blessings,
Brad

The Choir Serves at Steppin' Stone Farm

The weather was perfect for our work project today at Steppin' Stone Farm, a transition home for young girls and one of our Bay Life Community Partners. We were able to serve by pulling weeds, planting and by doing some interior painting. We were also able to provide some paper products, apparently always a blessing.

We had a great lunch, listened to the girls sing a beautiful rendition of Our God and had an exceptional experience, benefitting everyone involved.

Praise God for all of you that made it out. It was truly a great day.

Men's Bible Study Breakfast

Hey everyone,

I hope that all is well this week and that you've been able to enjoy life and God's blessings. I pray that you have good friends, that you're happy in your job and that everything is hunky-dory with all your relationships. I hope you have all the money that you need for everything, that your PC hasn't locked up and that you haven't had a flat tire in forever.

I'm sure however, that none of us can say that this is reality in our lives. Truthfully, I bet many of us are are struggling with at least one or more of these concerns and that life doesn't always work out the way that we want it to. Let's face it, life is hard sometimes. We don't have all the answers and we often feel alone or at least feeling like we need relief.

I'd like to encourage you today to set yourself up for success by getting a group of friends around you where you can study God's word, share your needs and just enjoy some good old fellowship. Make sure that you attend and participate in your life group and take time out each day to consider God's advice for your needs. Maybe you should join the choir! Or maybe you need to make sure that you don't miss choir ; )

I think the men of our band and choir need a little more of this kind of thing so I'd like to invite you guys to a weekly Men's Bible Study Breakfast starting this Wed at 6:30 am at Cracker Barrel on SR60 in Brandon. The event will be led by Michael Stemen, Ben Diehl and myself using an online Men's Bible study resource called Men of Integrity found at:

Read Wednesday, Feb 23's scripture and devotional and join us. It'll be a great time! Let me know if you can make it - bhillier@baylife.org

Bay Life Worship Arts Has Another Baby!

At Bay Life we're always growing. I'm pleased to announce that Bryan and Beka Pieper have a new baby girl, Alexa - and Joshua has a baby sister! Bryan serves with us as a FOH audio operator and has actually confirmed to serve for this weekend - he doesn't even need a weekend off. So join me in congratulating him as you see him this Sunday. Here's a picture.

It's choir weekend! I can't wait to join my voice with all of yours to worship God this weekend. Be sure to be at rehearsal tonight as we go over the music and make our preparations for our weekend services.

Here's the set list for Sunday's services:
  • I Know Who I Am
  • Glory to God Forever
  • Where the Spirit of the Lord Is
  • The Power of the Cross
If you're serving with the band on Saturday evening, be aware that we are replacing The Power of the Cross with The Wondrous Cross as the choir won't attend our Saturday evening service.

That's it for now. I hope you're having a great week and we'll see you in worship.

Blessings,
Brad

This Week @ Bay Life Worship Arts

What a great weekend!

Gracelynn Elizabeth Diehl - What a sweetie!
We had an amazing time here at Bay Life this past Sunday night as we worshipped together at our All-Campus Worship event. Throughout the evening, God's presence was real as we sang His praises and spent time in prayer. Thanks to all of our faithful volunteers - tech, choir, band, front line folks and everyone else that served our congregation to make the event possible.

It's been another busy week in our office as we've been preparing for Spring 2011. We begin rehearsing our spring musical choir selections this week. Thursday's rehearsal will also include preparations for our first Sunday performance coming up on Feb 13. BTW, you can pick up your Spring 2011 choir rehearsal CDs this week as well.

Band members who have volunteered for the spring musical should drop by the office sometime soon and pick up a book and a CD. Stay tuned for information about a Spring Musical band meeting coming soon.

Our technical efforts continue as David and the crew do some replacement installations and work on the live FOH mix during Thursday evening rehearsals in the worship center. Ask us how you can get involved.

Plan to make a difference with your life today - take the time to pitch in wherever you can to make a difference for our church community. Your efforts can truly impact thousands here at Bay Life. Also, don't forget to pray for your church leaders.

I'm really looking forward to this weekend's worship line-up which will feature a solo by Rebecca Stemen. Make sure you come and add your voice in our worship center this Saturday and Sunday.

Blessings,
Brad
